A walking tour dedicated to the deep connection between Aquileia and water, lasting approximately 3–4 hours (including one hour of navigation), which will wind through archaeological, historical, and natural sites. The tour will feature contributions from experts, archaeologists, tour guides, and managers of water pumping facilities, who will illustrate the crucial role of water in the historical and economic development of Aquileia, from antiquity to the present day.
Tour details:
- Departure from the entrance of the ancient River Port (access via Via Gemina)
- Stop at the ancient markets (Fondo Pasqualis archaeological area)
- Walk to the Natissa River and embark on the Santa Maria boat for a navigation to the river mouth and lagoon
- Continue the walk to the Marignane area
- Conclusion at the Roman Forum
