Barcolana Lake UP takes the spirit of the Barcolana away from the sea and up to the Lago dei Tre Comuni. For two days the inland waters of Carnia become both a racecourse and a meeting place, with one discipline following another from morning until evening.

Saturday 3 October opens at 10:00 with guided kayak tours of the lake with naturalist guides, and canoe polo matches. From 12:00 the focus shifts skyward, as paragliding athletes perform "Acropazzia", their acrobatic display above the lake. From 15:00 a DJ set at the lakeside kiosk carries the afternoon.

On Sunday 4 October the morning repeats the same programme. The afternoon belongs to the Barcolana Model Vela, the radio-controlled sailing race, followed at 16:00 by the prize-giving for all disciplines. The weekend closes with a pasta party and a final DJ set.

Barcolana Lake UP is a bridge between lakes, rivers and the sea: a way of extending the spirit of the Barcolana and creating connections between people, places and landscapes.
