Artificial intelligence, the sea and sustainability: a new event open to everyone

On Thursday 8 October 2026, the MIB Trieste School of Management in Trieste will host the inaugural Barcolana AI Sea Summit, Barcolana’s new event dedicated to artificial intelligence and the transformations it is bringing to everyday life, the world of innovation and our relationship with the sea.

Organised with the support of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Summit is open to everyone and free to attend: a day designed not only for industry professionals, but for anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of a technology that is already reshaping our present.

One day, two perspectives

The morning will focus on AI in everyday life and the world of innovation. How can we learn to use it? How much does it cost? How secure is our data? How is it transforming businesses, mobility and start-ups?

In the afternoon, the focus will shift to the sea, exploring applications of artificial intelligence in safety, navigation and routes, medical assistance, environmental protection, decision-making and performance.
