In the days leading up to the event, temporary stores line the waterfront to host the regatta’s sponsors, nautical products and services, and sailing crews: this is the “Barcolana Village.” The enchanting Piazza Unità d’Italia, the largest square in Europe open to the sea, transforms in the evening into a stage for entertainment and performances. Just a few steps from the moored boats and the Maritime Station, stories of the sea, tradition, and seafaring culture engage and inspire the public.
