BARCOLANA WING RACE 2026 POWERED BY LUNA ROSSA

Wingfoiling comes to Barcolana58. Three days in the Gulf of Trieste dedicated to one of the fastest-growing disciplines in sailing: two days of slalom racing followed by a day featuring racing, a workshop, on-water demonstrations and the prize-giving ceremony.

The Barcolana Wing Race is organised by the Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano in collaboration with the Luna Rossa Next Generation FIV Foil Academy and CKWI – Classe Kiteboarding e Wingsport Italia. The event is included in both the FIV regional calendar and the CKWI calendar.

Barcolana Wing Workshop

On Friday 9 October, the Barcolana Wing Race opens up to sailing clubs, coaches and the public. The Barcolana Wing Workshop is designed for sports directors, coaches and athletes interested in starting or developing wingfoil activities.

The workshop will explore racing circuits and formats, the FIV Foil Academy’s youth pathway and the discipline’s Olympic prospects, as well as the practical aspects of setting up a wingfoil group within a sailing club: equipment, facilities, coaches, safety and costs. The session will involve leading coaches and athletes, followed by the prize-giving ceremony at 5.00 pm at the Chamber of Commerce in Piazza della Borsa.
