“I’ve heard so much about Barcolana – said Vicky Song – sailing is a quite new to China, we’ve been practicing it as a sport for almost 20 years by now. Chinese regattas were three in total ten years ago, but now they are about a hundred every year: we’re growing at a fast pace”.
Vicky Song has clear ideas about Barcolana: “I’ve heard so much about this regatta: its entry into the Guinnes World Record as world’s largest regatta has made it even more popular and, as a Chinese sailor, I’m very curious. Sailing in China has become increasingly popular in the last few years: we see Barcolana as an event that can inspire us, also thanks to new and stronger relations between Italy and China."
