Vicky Song joins us
This year’s super testimonial has reached Trieste. Vicky Song, the first Chinese sailor to join the event, will help us give publicity to our regatta worldwide.
In the next few days Vicky Song will be busy promoting Chinese sailing in Europe and also Barcolana and Trieste in China.
On Friday she will be a key guest at the first edition of Generali Sea Talk together with Dee Caffari. The Talk with the two popular sailors, scheduled for Friday 11th October, will focus on sailing as a metaphor of the relationship between man and the environment and as an ideal space for cultural and human integration. Dee Caffari and Vicky Song will talk about their own experiences and commitment to support diversity in an increasingly open and inclusive society and they will discuss the importance of defending our seas and their ecosystems. The meeting will take place in Palazzo Berlam, the newly refurbished headquarters of Generali located along Trieste’s seafront. This iconic venue for the local community has been recently renovated under a project by world famous architect Mario Bellini. Other events scheduled for tomorrow include a press conference at 4.30 pm at the Infopoint in Piazza Unità to introduce a new special trophy and the Chinese sailor Vicky Song.
