ASUGI Covid-19 Protocol: Please read all details

The protocol focuses on the participants of the regatta: they are divided on board about 1,400 sailboats of varying size between 5 and 30 meters in length. In the development of the protocol, it was determined that the risk of contagion and spread of the virus increases if there is a presence of more than 7 people on board.

 

Therefore, different requirements have been given for crews with fewer than 8 people and for crews of 8 or more people. The protocol requires a negative Covid-19 swab test result for racers on board boats with 8 or more crew members. All operational information will be sent by the Barcolana organization to the owners by email on Tuesday, October 6.

 

It should be noted that all racers are required to strictly comply with the Protocol issued by the Italian Sailing Federation and reiterated by the Bando and the Regatta Instructions.

 

As a result of the ASUGI Protocol, the Regatta Committee has published changes to the Regatta Instructions.
