Anemos II is the winner of the 50th Trofeo Bernetti

The Farr 80 Anemos II Allianz of Marco Bono with Guglielmo Danelon at the helm, won the third race of the Portopiccolo Maxi Race 2021 @Barcolana today, defeating first and foremost the flat calm and then its adversaries. Today’s regatta took place as part of the 50^th edition of the Trofeo Bernetti, compiling the special ranking among the maxi yachts that participated in the races held on Friday and Saturday. It was a particularly challenging regatta due to the lack of wind: the start was set in front of the Porto Vecchio jetty, cut short at the second buoy in front of Portopiccolo. Arca Sgr of Furio Benussi closed in third position today, having got stuck in the dead calm at Santa Croce, but can be well satisfied with the overall classification, thanks to the two first positions earned during the races held on Friday and Saturday.

The general classification of the Portopiccolo Maxi Race @Barcolana, organized by the Yacht Club Portopiccolo as part of the Barcolana events sees, in fact, Arca Sgr (YCA) in first position, followed by Anywave Safilens (DN Sistiana) of Albero Leghissa, with two second positions, and third Anemos II of Marco Bono (SVBG), respectively third, fourth and first in the first three races. The event terminated with the award ceremony, held in the little square of Portopiccolo. “It was a pleasure – stated the High Seas Sporting Director, Dean Bassi – organizing this regatta together with the Portopiccolo Yacht Club. It is the first time we have organized an event dedicated solely to the Maxis, so that they can have a chance to practise for next Sunday’s regatta and go over some pre-tactical work. We have noticed that nothing can be taken for granted out at sea, therefore there will be even more attention and competitive spirit next Sunday among the great Barcolana protagonists”.
