The Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano has witnessed, in the meantime, the arrival of the Waszps, the foil “entry level” class, the best in order to learn from scratch how to navigate on boats that glide on the water.
There will be, from today to next Friday, five boats at the disposal of those sailors who’d like to learn about foil sailing: by booking at the SVBG it will then be possible to go out into the Gulf supported by technicians of the class, and have the chance to learn the new navigating techniques. Barcolana FUN is supported by Siram Veolia which every year partners with the energy events of the Barcolana. The Waszp was designed in Australia by Andrew McDougall; it is subject to rigid monotyping, and it is considered to be the simplest boat to learn Foiling on: it is 3.35 metres long, 2.25 metres wide and weighs 48 kg.
