Barcolana54 presented by Generali, the international promotion has begun
The first foreign press conference to present Barcolana54 presented by Generali was held in the magnificent Armani Caffè in Munich in the afternoon of 21 July.
The press conference was organised in partnership with the TAL Group, Generali (Barcolana’s presenting partner), illycaffè, Prosecco DOC and Tosolini. It presented the 54th edition of Barcolana, taking place on 9 October, related events on land and at sea - with a particular focus on the new regatta Barcolana Maxi Trofeo Portopiccolo (Portopiccolo Cup), dedicated to boats more than 16 metres long and taking place from 4 to 6 October - and the manifesto designed by Matteo Thun.
During the event, the performance of Oliver Giebler was celebrated. He was the best-ranking German sailor of last year’s edition, ranking 107th in the general classification and 15th within his category. Registration for Barcolana54 is already open and 15 boat owners from the German area have already registered, namely 7 from Germany and 8 from Austria.
