The first regatta of the Barcolana Maxi called off due to lack of wind

No regatta took place on the first day of the event dedicated to Maxi boats. The 15 boats participating in the first coastal race started at 1:00 p.m. as scheduled, but the lack of wind forced organisers to call off the race between the first and the second buoy. The Arca Fondi SGR was ahead, but the regatta could not be considered a valid and competitive race. The programme will continue tomorrow with the second coastal race kicking off at 1:00 p.m., with a brefing at the Yacht Club Portopiccolo at 11:00 a.m..
