Carolina Albano's Golden moment at Women in Sailing

Only two days before the world's biggest regatta takes place, this Friday the Barcolana’s events at sea have been above all about the “Women in Sailing” project. For the first time this year, the project promoted by Generali for the Barcolana has not only been an opportunity to raise awareness and foster discussion at land but has also become a real regatta in which professional athletes of the XIII FIV Zone competed on board 28-foot monotypes.
Held this morning with gusts of Bora reaching 15 knots, the regatta included two races. At the helm of one of the monotypes was the face of “Women in Sailing” for Generali, Francesca Clapcich, who finished second.
Seizing the first position in both races, the winners were the team of Carolina Albano, Maria Vittoria Marchesini, Anna Pagnini and Andrea Parmegiani. Francesca Clapcich, who raced with Michela Stefani, Jamila Cerdeira and Matija Succi, finished second, as already mentioned.
Alice Linussi, Matilde Parladori, Alessio Castellan and Luca de Vidovich came in third.
