Barcolana Solaris Adriatic Cup: registration open for the third edition

Registration is now open on the official Barcolana website for the third edition of the Barcolana Solaris Adriatic Cup, the event dedicated to the Solaris fleet organised by the Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano and Yacht Club Portopiccolo, taking place on 8 and 9 October in the Gulf of Trieste.
Following the success of the first two editions, Solaris Yachts and Barcolana are renewing their partnership by offering Solaris owners and their crews two days of high-level racing in a highly competitive setting, complemented by opportunities to meet, connect and share their passion for sailing.

The event will begin on Wednesday 7 October with the opening of the Race Village in Portopiccolo, crew registration and the Owners Opening Cocktail.
On Thursday 8 October, following the Skippers' Briefing at Yacht Club Portopiccolo, the Solaris fleet will take to the water for the opening race, an inshore race off Portopiccolo.
On Friday 9 October, competitors will contest the coastal race on the official Barcolana course, with the starting line positioned between the headquarters of the Società Velica di Barcola e Grignano and Miramare Castle. The race will offer a unique preview of the main event, allowing Solaris owners to compete over the very same course that will host the 58th edition of the world's largest sailing race just two days later. The day will conclude with the Prizegiving Ceremony and the Crew Party.

Boats will compete in compensated time and will be divided into three Groups according to their LOA (Length Overall): Group A, from 36 to 47.99 feet; Group B, from 48 to 57.99 feet; and Group 0, from 58 feet upwards.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each Group, as well as to the top three boats in the classification of the race sailed on the official Barcolana course.
