Women in Sailing: the new platform of the Generali and Barcolana initiative is now online
The website womeninsailing.it, also available at www.barcolana.it, features news and stories about women and mixed crews playing a central role in sailing.
It includes a dedicated section on coach training, curated by psychologist and trainer Andrea Frausin, aimed at supporting the creation and management of mixed crews. Classroom-based training for coaches is ready to launch, with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region leading the initiative as a pilot.
Women in Sailing, launched by Generali within the framework of Barcolana in 2019, aims to give women a more prominent role in mixed crews, serving as a metaphor for broader female participation in leadership roles across society.

Italian Navy exhibition "A TUTTO TONDO - The World Tour of Nave Vespucci"
The celebration for the arrival of the Vespucci ship begins on land with the Italian Navy exhibition "A TUTTO TONDO - The World Tour of Nave Vespucci", featuring photographs by Massimo Sestini. The exhibition will be hosted at the Palazzo della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia from 1st to 7th March.

Trieste prepares to welcome Nave Vespucci on Saturday, 1st March
The celebration begins on land with the Italian Navy exhibition "A tutto tondo - The World Tour of Nave Vespucci", featuring photographs by Massimo Sestini. The exhibition is organised in partnership with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, PromoTurismo FVG, the Municipality of Trieste, and with the support of Generali.
Over 1,200 boats have already registered for the Boat Parade, and until 28th February, the SVBG will remain open for collecting gift bags and completing registrations.

Trieste to welcome Nave Vespucci with a grand boat parade
- Sabato 1 marzo una grande parata di imbarcazioni di tutte le tipologie organizzata da Barcolana in sinergia con i circoli velici, remieri e di pesca sportiva del Golfo accoglierà a Trieste la “nave più bella del mondo”.
- Iscrizioni gratuite all’evento (con gadget) a partire da lunedì 10 febbraio per gli armatori di tutti i tipi di imbarcazioni
- Tutti in mare: appuntamento alle 13 del primo marzo alla boa di partenza (lato terrapieno di Barcola) della Barcolana. Invito aperto a barche a vela, gommoni e motoscafi. In acqua anche SUP, derive, canoe e kayak con un percorso lungo la diga foranea del Porto Vecchio.

Barcolana Special Edition: Trieste will welcome the training ship Amerigo Vespucci in the first leg of the Mediterranean Leg of the World Tour
Sabato 1 marzo Nave Vespucci arriverà a Trieste e per l’occasione sarà organizzata una Barcolana Special Edition, protagonisti tutti i tipi di imbarcazioni, con eventi a terra e in mare dal 28 febbraio al 2 marzo.
