Barcolana Eve presented by Generali is a day filled with many different events, such as weather briefings, awareness against plastics at sea, anti-Covid screenings for large and foreign crews, and traditional regattas. The morning events began at 10:30am, with the parade in the San Giusto Basin of the Barcolana Classic By SIAD. The event saw great enthusiasm with 67 boats registered, on the water with a small amount of wind available. In the afternoon, we start at 4 p.m. with the Melges 24 class, at 5:30pm with the Meteors and at 7 p.m., as per tradition, the Barcolana by Night, with the Ufo’s competing in the San Giusto Basin. On the rapid swab test front, the screenings coordinated by the Azienda Sanitaria continues.

Meanwhile, the activities of the Nastro Azzurro circuit continue, with the support of partners Marina Militare and Fincantieri. The Venice-Trieste arrival regatta aboard the LC30 has seen Alberto Bona and Cecilia Valsecchi take first place, with second place going to Matteo Mason and Claudia Rossi, the third to Andrea Caraggi and Irene Bezzi. The showcases of the Trimarani Diam 24 and the Kitefoil continue to take place, both yesterday and today.
LIVE BROADCAST OF LINEA BLU TODAY AT 2PM ON RAI ONE - Meanwhile we look forward to the live broadcast of Linea Blu on Rai Uno, scheduled from Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia. THE WINNER ANNOUNCED FOR THE WINDOW DISPLAY COMPETITION - Yesterday the window display competition ended, created by Barcolana and Confcommercio Trieste, that had 60 businesses registered.
The winner of the competition was "l'Acquerello Cartoleria (the Watercolor Stationery)" of Via dei Giacinti for perfectly embodying the spirit of Barcolana, conviviality and competition, and not leaving out one of the main protagonists of the Barcolana: the Wind.
The jury also attributed three special mentions: to "Florit Arredamento (Florit Furniture)" for its historical and traditional significance, to the "Officina Stranomavero Abbigliamento (Weird Workshop Clothing)" for elegance, profound perspective and strategic communication and to the "Enoteca Bischoff" for their commitment and for being able to combine a natural element such as cork with the promotion of our territory, emphasizing the spirit of the event.
